“Innovations for Climate Protection Made in Austria” was the motto of the annual event of the Showcase Energy Region. The current developments and successes of this RTI initiative and the progress of the three showcase regions were presented.

Of course, the flagship project ThermaFLEX was also presented. Ingo Leusbrock (AEE INTEC) and Wolfgang Haselbacher (Nahwärme Tillmitsch) presented the contents of ThermaFLEX and gave first insights into the measures in Leibnitz.

In addition to exciting highlights from the showcase regions, there was also an impulse statement by Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler (Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology – BMK) followed by a panel discussion on the topic of “Success factors for a climate-neutral energy future”.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and in order to be able to keep the recommended safety distance, the event was also broadcast live.
