Research excellence from Gleisdorf demonstrates in ten Austrian demonstration projects how the phase-out of fossil fuels in the district heating sector can be achieved.

Supporting the transformation process necessary for the heat transition and demonstrating solutions and elements in Austrian district heating networks was the overarching goal of the large-scale research project ThermaFLEX, which has been carried out together with 28 partners over the past 4 years. The lead project on the heat transition was managed and coordinated by AEE – Institute for Sustainable Technologies (AEE INTEC) from Gleisdorf. The results of the large-scale research project ThermaFLEX in cooperation with Stadtwerke Gleisdorf were presented at a press conference attended by the Federal Minister for Climate Protection Leonore Gewessler.
