AEE – Institute for Sustainable Technologies (AEE INTEC) is an independent research association in the field of renewable energy and resource efficiency. Since its founding in 1988 it has developed to one of Europe’s leading institutions performing applied research in this sector. Currently over 65 staff members, including MSc and PhD students, from more than 10 different nations are working at the institute. AEE INTEC is organized in three departments: “Thermal Energy Technologies and Hybrid Systems”, “Buildings and Renovation” as well as “Industrial Processes and Energy Systems”. A dedicated group of AEE INTEC is supporting R&D projects with process measuring and control technology for lab tests and monitoring. In research and development, AEE INTEC combines the technical know-how with the experience in project management and coordination. AEE INTEC has been coordinating and / or participating in many national (e.g. Energieforschung flagship projects giga_TES, Tes4Set) and international projects such as H2020/FP7 (e.g. SCORES, CraveZero, COMTES) or IEA activities (IEA SHC, IEA EBC) and is an international renown partner in the field of renewable heating and cooling.
