FH JOANNEUM was established in 1995. With its 47-degree programmes it is one of the leading universities of applied sciences (FHs) in Austria. The purpose of the company is to operate the FH degree programmes in accordance with the Federal Act on Programmes of Universities of Applied Sciences (FHStG). The R&D activities help accumulate a knowledge base for the university and society in general, which improves not only the competitiveness of FH JOANNEUM, but also those of Styria as a whole. Additionally, the know-how, acquired from R&D projects, helps ensure the high tuition quality in the degree programmes. As a university, the FH JOANNEUM supports international cooperation in teaching, research, and on-going education.
