Nahwärme Tillmitsch GmbH & Co KG was founded in 2010 with the aim of establishing an environmentally friendly local supply of heat. The company sees itself as a representative of renewable energy with the aim of supporting the energy revolution for a clean and green city of Leibnitz in order to ensure a sustainable and long-term quality of life. The company strives to operate highly efficient plants to conserve existing resources and ensure sustainability for future generations. In addition, district heating promotes regionalism. The company obtains its wood chips exclusively from regional agriculture and forestry companies, creates regional jobs and ensures sustainable landscape management. This means that value added – from production and transport to incineration and heat supply – remains entirely in the region.
