ROTREAT
ROTREAT Abwasserreinigung GmbH was founded in 1993 and currently employs 11 staff members. Rotreat focuses exclusively on the operation and further development of membrane systems.
ROTREAT develops, produces and installs membrane technologies. The DT module technology (disc tube module), on which the RCDT technology is based, has been successfully used since 1985 as a membrane filter in seawater desalination and since 1987 in wastewater and leachate treatment. The “RCDT module” (radial channel disc tube module) is the most technically advanced product in DT module technology. This module consists of a pressure tube and circular membrane carrier discs, which are held by a central clamping bolt. In each case between two carrier discs are octagonal membrane pads. These pads consist of two ultrasound-welded single membranes, which are separated by a fabric fleece (spacer).
The membrane distillation technology (MD) is a new research area of ROTREAT. In recent years a number of research projects have been conducted to improve membrane and module design and small-scale MD test plants have been installed for various applications.
The experience of ROTREAT is now based on more than 1,600 reverse osmosis systems produced with different throughput rates and their operation over several years. The systems are used internationally. ROTREAT has handled over 28 million m3 of wastewater in an environmentally friendly and cost-effective manner over the last 20 years. RCDT technology is used in the following countries: Austria, Slovenia, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Brazil, Czech Republic, China, South Korea, Tunisia, Mexico, Baltic States, Hungary, Croatia and Australia.
