TU Wien – Energy Economics Group

 

The Energy Economics Group (EEG) is a department of the Institute of Energy Systems and Electric Drives at TU Wien, Austria. The core fields of research of EEG are: (i) system integration strategies of renewable and new energy technologies, (ii) energy modelling, scenario analyses and energy policy strategies, (iii) energy market analyses in general (competition and regulation), (iv) sustainable energy systems and technologies and (iv) environmental economics and climate change policies. In the last 15 years, EEG has co-ordinated and carried out many international as well as national research projects funded by the European Commission, international and national organisations and governments, public and private clients in several fields of research mentioned above, in particular as far as renewable and new energy technologies are addressed (e.g. policy design and modelling of financial support instruments, modelling grid and market integration of renewable technologies, etc.).
