Wien Energie GmbH, a subsidiary of Wiener Stadtwerke, is Austria’s largest energy service provider supplying energy to over one million private customers. More than two million people, approximately 230,000 businesses, industrial facilities and public buildings, and about 4,500 farms in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland are supplied with electricity, natural gas and heat.

The operations of Wien Energie also include waste recycling, facility management, telecommunications, energy advice and energy-related services, particularly in the area of energy efficiency. Wien Energie is pursuing a number of diverse projects focusing on the exploitation of renewable energy resources and the increase of energy efficiency.
