On Thursday 23.04.2020 a webinar of the IEA DHC Annex TS3: Hybrid Energy Networks took place under the title “Austria Goes International”. During the webinar, Ingo Leusbrock from the AEE Institute for Sustainable Technologies presented the ThermaFLEX project under the title “ThermaFLEX: Experiences from an Austrian flagship project on flexible district heating systems“. In addition to a general presentation of the project, the contents of the demonstrator “Virtual Heating Plant Gleisdorf” were discussed.
In the course of the webinar, several topics and areas were presented that are also dealt with in the ThermaFLEX project, such as energy management systems, adsorption heat pumps, new generations of district heating networks, etc. This shows the urgency of the project. From this, the urgency and importance of the project can be deduced.
